Our Aims

  1. To promote and encourage by all available means the development of aviation and aeronautical sciences in Ireland and elsewhere.
  2. To act as a representative body; both nationally and internationally, in the interests of aviation and aeronautical science.
  3. To act as a governing, controlling or licensing authority in relation to such matters connected with aviation or aeronautical science as may by statute, international convention or agreement, or in any other manner come within the jurisdiction of the Club.
  4. To establish, maintain and conduct a club or clubs for the accommodation of the members of the Club and their friends and others and to provide rooms, libraries and amenities of every kind, including facilities for games, sports, pastimes (both indoor and outdoor) and to make such charges therefore as may from time to time be considered proper.
  5. To provide, either solely or in conjunction with other person or organisations, in any manner whatever, instruction and tuition in any aspect of aviation or aeronautical science and for that purpose to acquire, supply or otherwise make available plant and equipment and all other things.
  6. To organise, assist and encourage aviation and scientific meetings, exhibitions, competitions and other functions of like nature, and to offer and grant or contribute towards the provision of prizes, awards and distinctions.
  7. To establish, promote, or assist in establishing or promoting and to subscribe to or become a member of any company, association, union, or club, the objects of which are similar or in part similar to the objects of the Club, or the establishment or promotion of which may be beneficial to this Club.
